Not Quite There won’t escort you to the front row of a concert. It’s not about unlimited budgets and carefully crafted reality TV scenarios. Rather, it will leave you stranded at 100 a.m. in lower Manhattan. It will thrust you into the high reaches of beer-soaked bleachers to inhale the pungent aroma of marijuana as drunken concertgoers urinate on you. It will get you lost in Germany at nightfall, leaving you alone to drive the Autobahn with no cell phone and currency that only works in Switzerland. Too bad you don’t speak German.
Not Quite There is a real-life account of the adventures and misadventures of what life “on the road” can bring. This book is about the perfect quest for the perfect place and the perfect experience, and the irony of always being Not Quite There. The skeleton might be accounts of travel experiences, but at the heart of the stories, the mishaps, and the people that create them is a glimpse at the answer to a question both complex and simple where am I going?

I met Sean in a class at work, and he was obviously bright, and funny; one of the few 'strangers' I met in that class and knew I wanted to keep touch with. I loved to receive an email from him, to hear how his life was going, but I had no idea he had journalized his many travels! It's really inspirational for people who are the age he was when he started these writings - college age, give or take a few years. I admire the way he writes about trying something completely unknown, working his way through it (sometimes with some help from his friends) and the lessons and confidence he learned from those experiences. For those who are about to start their life as an adult, I would really recommend this as an example of how much good can often come from pushing yourself, and allowing chance (with some common sense) to change your life. Well done, Sean!Product details

Not Quite There eBook Sean Genovese Meghan Gamble Jessica TaborFritch Reviews
This book is a real life memoir of the author as a young college student on his travels in the US and abroad. His ability to make you feel like you are sitting across the table from him while he relays a story or event he experienced, make this book a pleasant and entertaining read. I found myself easily finishing it in one sitting. His ability to see humor in life's small details and his insight on the lessons he carries away from them are thought provoking and will have you laughing as you follow along with his adventures.
